Blue Ribbon Desserts

Both my wife and I are a startup catering business. We have our Food Handling license/certificates, Insurance and waiting on a response to receive our DBA/fictitious name as we have filed for it already. We endeavor to produce one item a sweet potato pie, for fund raising purposes within the local school districts. In fact, we already have our first client and are poising to bake approximately 500 to 1500 pies. We are confident of success as both my wife and I were former Fund Raising Chair Parents and thought we could do the job just as good or better than vendors we coordinated with in the past. We also have the opportunity to 12 additional schools in the event that our initial production run and delivery is successful. Our ultimate goal after mastering quality control and production is to gain access to grocery stores and lastly, county fair stand/booths. We bring a wide range of experience with us. I am currently preparing to retire from employment as a probation officer. I have also worked in retail sales as a merchandiser/Buyer for a major retail Chain still in business. I was successful in the lines under my responsibility and was a Southern California leader in Sales volume. I also have a BA Degree in Business Administration with specifics in Finance/Investments. My wife Sharon has worked in retail sales as an owner and also a certified Tax Preparer and also keeps books. My wife is the cook in the operation and the keeper of our pie recipe. However we are new and don’t have experience in producing pies in mass volume but we will get past this challenge. We plan to gain access to local markets such as ‘Farmers Markets’ and sell our pies in that environment when not involved in mass production as mentioned above, We already have a following of folks who love to eat our pies. We are interested in your Kitchen and would like to be considered for tenancy. Our goal is to start out with as many hours as we can afford.
