The Community Action Marin Kitchen is a top-of-the-line commercial kitchen located just off Highway 101 at The Vineyard Business Center in San Rafael. The facility has adequate parking and a 10 x 12’ grade level roll up door for ease of moving product in and out.
While our main business is cooking meals for over 800 children a day in our Head Start and Child Development Programs, our staff starts and ends their production day early leaving the kitchen available for rent during much of the day, evenings and weekends.
The large and airy space has high ceilings, tiled floors and the walls are covered with RFP washable surfaces. There are prep sinks, mop sinks and a full dishwasher as well as walk-in freezer and refrigerator and ample dry storage space.
Our appliances include: Double convection steamer, double convection oven, 6 burner range with conventional oven, 40 gallon tilting skillet, 60 gallon steam-jacketed kettle, 30 quart Hobart floor mixer, a 45 quart Robot Coupe Food Processor, a Volumetric Piston-Filler jar filler, a Bottle-Matic Dispensamatic label dispenser, rolling racks and stainless prep tables.
The kitchen is appropriate for caterers, and other small batch producers. As space permits, our kitchen may be available for one-time or long-term tenancy.
