On the fringes of England’s idyllic Cotswolds, Charlotte Manser is busy working away in her pottery studio—dreaming up the next creation. Charlotte founded her ceramics business in 2019 and has since gone from strength to strength, growing a reputation for quality hand-made ceramics using materials found right beneath our feet.
She was 18 when she worked with clay for the very first time. Six months of rapid experimentation in this versatile art form had Charlotte hooked, leading her to teach ceramics for a stint in the US, and then back to the UK and onto Cardiff to study ceramics; fully committing herself to a life by the potter’s wheel. It was during this time that she developed her unique style, using liminal space, where land meets water, as her muse. Charlotte’s work has been grounded in natural environments ever since.
